Kamloops TMJ Disorder

TMJ is short for the temporomandubular joint. This joint plays a vital role in everything you do with your jaw as it connects your jawbone to the skull. The TMJ allows you to talk, chew, laugh, and use your jaw. When this joint is damaged, it can lead to a lot of difficulty.

Those who suffer from TMJ disorder will experience pain in their jaw area and find it hard to perform tasks with their jaw. If you think you may be suffering from this disorder, we can diagnose you with examinations or X-rays.

Sometimes the issue will resolve itself over time with rest. Avoid sticky foods or overuse of your jaw. If the problem persists, we may be able to help you relieve the symptoms with medications, education on how to relax your jaw fully, or a plastic mouth guard.

Don’t let yourself suffer from TMJ disorder. Give our office a call to book your consultation appointment today.
